What is a Dancedating event, and how does it work?
As a member you can book an event and you'll join dozens of Dancedaters for a complete
night out, and you'll meet single people in a safe, fun atmosphere
that's completely different.
When you arrive we'll have you personalised name badge and dancecard.
Keep your dancecard handy as you'll need it later. Next grab a quick drink
and get ready to go because our dance hosts will soon get everyone
on the floor. At around eight you will be asked onto the dance
floor. We'll explain what'll happen and then you'll be partnered up.
Don't worry everyone will be too, and in a short while we will move
everyone on so you will get to dance with up to forty people on the
night. (Our booking system ensures an equal number of male and female).
When you have a new partner, don't forget to say Hi, and check their
name badge details as you may want to add it to your dancecard
which you'll hand in at the end.
Getting a new dance partner is your chance to make a connection.
During the night our dance demo's will teach you some great dance moves.
We bring you the best of partner dance styles, salsa, Jive, Rock n'Roll and Linde Hop
to name a few, and don't worry if you've never danced before. Ninety
percent of Dancedater's haven't either, but it's so much fun!
You'll have a fantastic night out in a safe environment.
You will laugh all night! what better way to meet single people.
As you get new partners throughout the night, you'll have loads of
time to chat to them as you learn the fun dance moves. Don't forget
to add anyone you like to your dance card.
Every forty minutes or so. we'll break into freedancing so you can put into
practice what you've just learnt. But if you want, grab another drink.
With dancedating the etiquette is that it's OK for the girls to ask the
guys to dance as well. People don't normally say no to a dance and
if you do it's usually because you've just sat down and then have the
next dance with them.
At the end of the night, please hand in the copy of your dancecard.
If you visit the Dancedating website the day after the event and login,
you'll be able see the people you put on your dancecard. You'll also
be able to see the people who put you on their dancecard, and maybe
you both ticked each other - A Match!
You could send a Dancedating email, a flirt or maybe add them to your
Dancedating Messenger.
The rest is up to you!
